Smarter insights, stronger teams: New features for Stack Overflow for Teams
Our April release is all about making knowledge work for you—wherever you are. With actionable insights delivered straight to your preferred platforms, more control over user organization, and subtle UX nudges that encourage meaningful engagement, this update is built to keep your teams informed, aligned, and actively contributing.
Let’s dig into what’s new.
Microsoft Teams Channel Digests
Now available in Microsoft Teams! These weekly updates surface key activity based on selected tags and communities. You’ll see:
- Top contributors by user and department
- Usage metrics to track engagement
- Unanswered questions to improve answer rate and close knowledge gaps
Delivered straight into your Teams channels, digests help drive adoption and keep team knowledge front and center.

Slack Personal Digests
Prefer your updates one-on-one? Slack Personal Digests drop directly into your DMs, highlighting:
- Relevant content based on your activity
- Key actions and unanswered questions
- Your personal impact on the knowledge base
You’re always in control—users can toggle personal digests on or off in Slack app settings.

Empower your moderators without compromising admin control. Moderators can now:
- Create, update, and delete user groups
- Ensure users are aligned with the content most relevant to them
- Keep your knowledge base tidy and targeted
Admins still hold the keys to system-wide settings, but moderators now have more room to help organize and engage their communities effectively.

Let’s face it: people sometimes forget to vote. So we’re giving your team a gentle push.
- Unanswered questions now display “Vote” instead of “0” to make the call to action crystal clear
- Tooltips will appear for users who haven’t voted in the last 30 days, nudging them to engage and help surface valuable content
More votes = better answers = smarter teams. It’s a win all around.

This release is about visibility, control, and contribution. Whether you’re digesting insights in Slack or Teams, organizing users into the right groups, or encouraging more interaction with smarter prompts, Stack Overflow for Teams 2025.3 is here to help your team move faster—together.
